1. A man wants his wife to know that he detests nagging. Nagging aggravates him. Intense nagging can drive a man away from home. Solomon said nagging can relocate a man from his apartment to his pent house. Further down in the chapter, Solomon changed his mind and said nagging can make a man relocate to the wilderness. He must have suddenly remembered one of his other
nagging wives.

It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house.
Pro 21:19 KJV
It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman.
2. A man wants a home and not a house. He will rent or build a house, but he expects his wife to turn the house into a home. He wants a warm and inviting place he can retire to in the night. It is only women that can turn a house into a home.
3. A man wants his wife to be intellectually at par with him. He wants a wife he can discuss politics, sports and any other thing with. He wants a friend in his wife. If he can’t find friendship, he will usually prefer to hang out with the boys! He wants a woman with whom he can watch a football game.
4. A man wants his wife to know that he is intensely tempted with the opposite sex. A man wants his wife to know that he has sexual pressures and that when his wife denies him of sex; it is a big issue for him. A man wants his wife to know that when his sexual overtures are rebuffed, it's slight on his ego.
5. A man wants his wife to know that he is moved by sight. He wants his wife to dress for him even at home. A man wants his wife to be his pride. He does not want a stubborn wife, he wants a submissive wife. He wants his wife to know that respect is a big issue for him.
